AMO Label BBCA
The carbon footprint of our buildings is a major concern. To promote and support best practices in this area, real estate professionals can turn to the BBCA (low-carbon building) label.
In the case of commercial buildings, office, educational, and hotel buildings can be certified through two certifiers: CERTIVEA or PRESTATERRE. The certification can be issued alone or in conjunction with another certification. It can apply to a new or renovated project.
In the case of residential buildings, only collective buildings are eligible for certification, with three certifiers: PRESTATERRE, PROMOTELEC or CERQUAL.
- The repository is divided into 4 contributors and 3 indicators:
- Sustainable construction - IC Construction BBCA
- Controlled operation - IC Energie BBCA
- Carbon Emission - IC BBCA project
- Circular economy - additional points Climate innovation
Performance levels are calculated based on the amount of CO2 avoided or stored. There are three levels: BBCA standard, BBCA performance, and BBCA excellence.
Projects are audited in two phases: at the end of the design phase (DCE phase) and at the end of the implementation phase (on the basis of the DOE). The audit procedures will be specific to each certifier; however, the technical file and supporting documents to be produced are specified in each standard.
New labels are also being created and distributed:
BBCA Exploitation
BBCA Quarter
BBCA Contribution neutrality
KEDROUS supports you in obtaining the BBCA label
In their role as project management assistant, KEDROUS employees support you in setting up the standard according to the selected certifier, participate in technical validation throughout the design phase, intervene during the construction phase and during the acceptance phase of your projects.
- Assistance during operation launch
- Assistance during the design phase
- Assistance during the execution phase
- Assistance during the reception phase
The BBCA label can be combined with other certifications depending on the requests of the selected certifier.
In the case of CERQUAL, it is necessary to integrate NF Habitat certification.
In the case of PRESTATERRE, it is necessary to support a BEE certification
In the case of CERTIVEA, obtaining the label is not conditional on obtaining another certification. However, it will be necessary to demonstrate that the prerequisites of the E C- label (i.e. E1C1) have been met.
The BBCA label can be combined with other certifications depending on the requests of the selected certifier.
KEDROUS employees working on the various certifications will therefore be able to support you regardless of your choice of certifier.
In the specific case of the Low Carbon label, a specific methodology has been created to supervise new projects based on the BBCA label. If the project owner wants this state label, it will therefore be necessary to adhere to the BBCA standard and the appendix dedicated to the Low Carbon label.
